For many years, my life has revolved around ink mixing it, pulling it across screens, waiting for it to dry, accepting its imperfections. A few months ago, another rhythm entered my life: fatherhood. Between studio hours and sleepless nights, between making art and learning how to care, a book slowly began to take shape.
That book is called Of Ink and Breath.
This is a deeply personal work that reflects on fatherhood through the lens of my screen-printing practice. It is not only about raising a child, but about patience, repetition, failure, tenderness, and the quiet labor behind both art and parenting. The book brings together essays, poetic fragments, and reflections shaped by time, touch, and process.
Rather than pursuing a traditional publisher, I have chosen to publish the first edition independently. This allows the book to retain its intimacy, design integrity, and artistic freedom. However, independent publishing also means carrying the full cost of production, and I am publishing this book on my sons first birthday which is in next few months.
